Irish Post Offices & Postmarks

Portumna, Ballinasloe
(Port Omna, Portomna) / County Galway.

The post office opened in 1794. It has a recorded undated name, mileage mark, penny post, maltese cross and was allocated numeral 380 from 1844 but this was later used in Portrush. It had an English & Irish SRDS, an Irish DRDS and English Skeleton.
